Statistics: Russia’s inflation speeds up to 0.58% in Nov 29 – Mon
MOSCOW, Dec 7 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation accelerated to 0.58% in the week from November 29 through Monday from 0.19% in the previous week, and reached 11.71% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday.
The prices for fruit and vegetables grew by 2.9% on average. The price for cucumbers increased by 14.2%, for beets by 2.8%, carrots 2.6%, cabbage 2.4%, onions 1.6%, tomatoes 1%, potatoes 0.5%, bananas 0.2%. At the same time, the prices for apples decreased by 0.9%.
The prices for sugar fell by 1.26%, for buckwheat by 0.63% and noodles by 0.51%. But the prices for eggs grew by 0.78%, for pasteurized milk by 0.43%, for sausages by 0.36%.
The gasoline prices remained unchanged while the diesel fuel prices increased 0.8%.
